CAVANNA PASTA NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER
Virtual Co-ops: Keeping
the Farmers Market Alive Through the Winter Thank you all for your support this past season at the local farmers
markets. At this time when many of them are closing down for the winter,
we -- and a good number of other local producers -- will be participating
in two winter season co-ops in the Richmond area: the Goochland Farmers
Market and Fall Line Farms. These are farm to family Co-op programs in
conjunction with Lulus Local Food, designed to connect market vendors
and additional neighboring farms and businesses with customers in search
of local food and products year round. Goochland: Pick-up will be on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 pm at
two locations:
Fall Line Farms: Pick-up will be on Thursday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 at seven locations:
The program will run from November 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010. Registration is $75 for Fall Line Farms 6 month season program and $45 for the Goochland Farmers Market 6 month season (Goochland's Center for Rural Cultures members pay $45 up front but receive a $10 credit). This is an exciting opportunity to obtain local food and products throughout the winter months. For more information or to register, please visit
